Privacy
What People collects, how it collects it, and every way that data is used. People is from Plus App (CULTIIVATE INC). Questions: friesj@plus-app.io.
On this device
People has no account. Tasks, suggestions, and the plan you chose are stored on the iPhone, iPad, or Mac where you use the app. A Claude API key, if you paste one, stays in the Keychain on that device. People does not run its own login and does not sell data.
When you ask it to look at files, Photos, Contacts, Calendar, Reminders, or Mail, it reads those on the device, with the system permission for that data, and only to do the task. It asks in the app before it moves or deletes anything. It never sends mail.
Apple Intelligence
The default thinker is Apple Intelligence. That work stays on the device. People does not send that task to a third party.
Claude, from Anthropic
Claude is optional. People will not send a task to Claude until you allow it in the app. The permission screen names the recipient and the data before the first send. You can turn that off later in Settings → Privacy. Turning it off stops future sends. It does not delete anything Anthropic already received.
If you allow it, People sends the task to Anthropic, PBC, the company that runs Claude, at api.anthropic.com. People sends:
- The words you typed or said for that task
- The rest of that conversation
- Folder names, file names, and any file text Claude reads to do the task
- The answer you pick when Claude asks you a question in the app
The purpose is to do the task you asked for. People does not use it for advertising and does not sell it.
Anthropic receives that data as a Claude API request. Anthropic’s privacy policy is the protection on their side: anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Anthropic states that it does not train its models on API inputs by default and does not sell that data. That is the same class of protection People gives this data: used to perform the request, not sold, and not used to train a model by default.
Speech
If you tap the microphone, People turns speech into text on the device when it can. If the device cannot do that, Apple’s speech recognizer hears the words. That is Apple, not Anthropic. People uses the text as the task you asked for.
Subscriptions
On iPhone and iPad, Plus and Work are purchased with Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment. People learns which plan is active so it can unlock Watch and memory. People does not receive your card number.
On the Mac app downloaded from this site, payment goes through Stripe in the browser. The billing service confirms that a plan was paid. People does not receive your card number. A receipt code can unlock the same plan on another device you use.
What People does not do
- No tracking, and no advertising profile
- No sale of personal data
- No send to Anthropic unless you allow it first
